Environmental Impact Assessment

Environment Management Division (EMD) plays an important role in development planning for DESEIN. Since inception 25 years ago, EMD has undertaken work in diverse fields of environmental studies. The division is accredited by the National Accreditation Board for Educational Training (NABET) and manned by qualified and experienced engineers / professionals. All professionals have either doctorate or post graduate degree in their respective fields. They are supported in their activities by highly qualified technical & administrative staff. EMD is capable of undertaking complex tasks required for achieving environmental clearance. For specific expertise, EMD has a pool of Consultants on its panel duly accredited by the concerned authority.

The EMD has undertaken a total of 81 projects for a cumulative power generation of >62,000 MW which covers coal / lignite fired power plants,
gas based simple & combined cycle power plants, hydro - electric power plants as well as many other projects
