DESEIN PRIVATE LIMITED, an ISO-9001:2008 certified company with its headquarters in New Delhi, India, is a leading engineering consultancy organization with over 32,000 MW of experience in setting up coal/lignite fired power plants as well as gas based simple & combined cycle power plants with unit sizes ranging upto 800 MW which is the largest size single unit of supercritical technology currently under implementation in India. It has been rendering such specialized engineering and also contracting services covering all disciplines of engineering, viz. civil, structural, architectural, mechanical, electrical,
electronics, instrumentation & controls and environmental for various power utilities, industrial projects in India and abroad since inception in 1965. Today, the core competency of the company applies not only to power plants but also to multi-disciplinary infrastructural projects of any nature.

DESEIN is also a service provider for operation & maintenance of power plants in India & abroad for the past three decades. Protection of environment has always been a major concern and way back in 1987 we set up a separate division to provide environmental engineering
solutions to mitigate pollution arising out of new projects. Since then, a group of specialists in this field has undertaken field studies to determine the impact
and suggest remedial measures for setting up of more than 79 large power projects with a cumulative capacity of around 59,000 MW of power in India. We believe the contribution made by this group has been of immense value for the preservation of environmental balance for the well being of the present and
future generations.

ENGINEERING FACILITIES

Our modern engineering office, located in New Delhi, is fully equipped with the latest engineering design / draughting facilities, state-of-the-art hardware and software.

For instant & reliable digital communication and data transmission, Desein’s network is linked by a high speed dedicated bandwidth of 10 Mbps & video conferencing system over IP. This facility has proved to be an effective tool for instant communication with our clients and associates.

HUMAN RESOURCES

The total manpower available with the Group is around 2,000 comprising specialists, engineers, designers, CAD technicians and other supporting staff.  The engineering team as a whole carries 20 million man-hours of experience in every aspect of thermal power plant

We have a team of over 500 qualified and experienced engineers representing all engineering disciplines, i.e. civil, structural, architectural, mechanical, electrical, control & instrumentation, chemical and environmental to carry out engineering, procurement, project management, construction / erection & commissioning as well as operation & maintenance of power plants. We also have an experienced team representing all engineering disciplines for developing 3D models for detailed engineering. They are assisted by designers, CAD technicians and other supporting staff. 

With over four and a half decades of experience, we have built a vast reservoir of skills not only to engineer but also to construct, operate and maintain power plants to international standards.
