Keeping pace with international standards & practices, DESEIN uses the latest design tools to enhance its engineering output as well as communication facilities. It has also developed the skills to do detailed engineering using 3-D modelling. Below is a summary of engineering tools being used.

Mechanical Engineering

  • PDMS : an interactive, intuitive 3D plant design software, delivering maximum productivity and capability on all types of plant projects
  • AutoPLANT : for the 3-D design and modelling of process, power, industrial, and manufacturing facilities (Piping, Equipment, Open Plant Power P&ID, Raceways, Isometrics, and ProSteel modules)
  • Autodesk® Navisworks : a project review software supporting intelligent 3D model-based designs with scheduling, visualization, and collaboration tools, as well as advanced clash detection capability
  • SolidWorks : for simulation and design validation with advanced wire and pipe routing functionality.
  • Solid CAM : SolidCAM provides seamless, single-window integration and full associativity to the SolidWorks design model.
  • CAESAR II : for Piping System analysis
  • GT PRO : for designing a combined cycle or gas turbine cogeneration plant.
  • GT MASTER : for Simulation of expected performance of a given plant under different operating conditions
  • STEAM PRO : for designing a conventional (Rankine cycle) steam power plant
  • STEAM MASTER : for Simulation of expected performance of a conventional steam plant under different operating conditions
  • PIPENET Spray Sprinkler/Standard Module : for the design of fire protection systems especially in the oil & gas and process Plant industries.
  • HAP : HOURLY ANALYSIS PROGRAM is a tool for estimating loads and designing systems and simulating building energy use and calculating energy costs.

Civil Engineering

  • Autodesk®Building Design Suite : for Building Information Modelling (BIM) 3-D workflows, efficient documentation and the creation of compelling visualizations
  • Autodesk® Infrastructure Design Suite: for civil engineering, planning, and GIS, and for model-based design, analysis, and visualization of Building Information Modeling (BIM) solution for infrastructure projects
  • Autodesk®Factory Design Suite : for efficiently design, document, and share factory layout drawings, utilizing unique factory layout functionality
  • Ansys Structural : a finite element-based structural simulation software package
  • STAAD PRO : for steel, concrete, timber, aluminium and cold-formed steel design of virtually structures
  • SECTION WIZARD : for fast and accurate calculation of section properties and retrieval of stress values for custom and assembled shapes
  • CADS RC (BS & IS CODE) : a reinforced concrete detailing software for building, power projects, transportation, water and process projects
  • CADS RC (AS) REBAR CAD : for rebar detailing and bar bending scheduling
  • CIVIL 3D : a software for transportation design, land development, and water projects
  • NISA : for analysis, design & detailing of RCC & Steel structures, having excellent reporting and graphing features and automatically generating detailed AutoCAD drawings

Control & Instrumentation

  • Intools : for automation of preparation of all instrumentation engineering documents like Instrument Index, I/O List, Instrument Specifications, Instrument calculations, Instrument pneumatic and process hook-ups, Instrument plot plan, Instrument logic diagrams, Instrument system engineering can be achieved through the use of Instrumentation software tools.
